Located on the Isle of Orléans, this maritime park tells about the fascinating history of wooden ship building.

Only a few minutes' drive from Québec City, there is a historical site in the countryside about 19th-century sloop makers. Weigh anchor at this maritime park to learn more about the former shipyard located here. Different interactive workshops for you to try. A permanent exhibit comprises an impressive collection of tools and showcases the history of the island's insular residents. Take a guided or self-guided audio tour of the site. See a virtual recreation of a shipyard in 1960 and listen to the informative capsules and accounts of sloop craftsmen. Demonstrate your ability to tie nautical knots or test your potential to be a sloop maker. The perfect spot for a picnic on the bank of the St. Lawrence.

It tells about the island's history of hand-made and industrial shipbuilding in the era of wooden boats. Individual visitors, families and groups are invited to drop anchor at the Isle of Orléans! Must-sees: guided tours, audioguided tours, the interpretation centre, the Forest or rails. We also have a digital exhibit and the tugboat R.F. Grant.
