Le Capitole de Québec
972, rue Saint-Jean
Québec, QC, G1R 1R5
Created a little more than two years ago, this show is outstanding by the strong resemblance that we hear between the voice of the artist and the voice of the French American singer.
In the company of six musicians and backup singers, Benoît Labonté revisits 25 classics, some of Joe Dassin’s greatest hits, in their entirety; most notably, “Si tu t’appelles mélancolie”, “Les Champs-Élysées”, “Ça va pas changer le monde”, “Le Café des trois colombes”, “Et si tu n’existais pas”, “L’été indien” plus, of course, “Dans les yeux d’Émilie”, the song that evokes Quebec City, and “Les plus belles années de ma vie”, the artist’s favorite song.
