In the Québec City area, we've been snow sliding for a long time! Did you know that, in the middle of the 19th century, people used to toboggan on the hills on the Plains of Abraham? Since then, sliding has become one of the region's most popular winter activities. Companies that specialize in this activity offer a variety of services and ways to go sliding so you can get the most out of this family outing.

Toboggan Slide on the Dufferin Terrace (Au 1884)

* Closed for the 2024 season

More than one hundred years old, this sliding area is just steps from Château Frontenac on the Dufferin Terrace in Old Québec. Get an adrenalin rush as you dash down one of three toboggan lanes at speeds of up to 70 kilometres an hour.

Village Vacances Valcartier

North America's largest winter playground features more than 35 slides for the whole family. Scream with excitement on the Himalaya, Everest or in the Avalanche sector. You can slide on an individual inner tube, or whirl down on the Tornado, a huge tube that can accommodate 3 to 8 people. Or whizz down the slopes on a snow raft that can hold up to 12 people! There's a children's playground for the little ones. The site also features 17 mechanical lifts.

Massif de Charlevoix

Enjoy a unique rodeling experience on a 7.5 km natural snow trail. Make your descent sitting on a traditional sled.

Centre récréotouristique des Hautes Terres

The brand new Centre récréotouristique des Hautes Terres in Sainte-Brigitte-de-Laval offers inner tube sliding with a lift in a grandiose setting. Plus, the Center will eventually add a variety of sustainable outdoor experiences.

Centre de glisse Myrand

The Centre de glisse Myrand represents the most significant drop for practicing sliding in the heart of Québec City and is easily accessible by public transportation. Slide on a tube and use the lift to go back to the top of the hill.

Slide safely through two areas behind the Plains of Abraham Museum. Bring your own equipment or rent a crazy carpet at the Museum.

Adrenaline guaranteed on the inner tubes of Les Glissades de Tewkesbury. It is said to be the tallest and longest in the region!
