Tired of adulting? Need a break from the semester that just won’t end? A change of pace will do you some good, and Québec City has everything you need for the ultimate long-weekend. So invite your squad, find somewhere cool to stay, pack your bags, and check out this fun-filled itinerary:

Day 1: Doing Old Québec up Right

AM
Start your day at La Maison Smith. This café’s killer décor makes it the perfect spot to ‘gram your morning coffee.

Afterwards, take a wander down the divinely European streets of the Petit-Champlain district. It’s maple season, so get your sugar fix with some maple taffy at La Petite Cabane à Sucre de Québec (sugar shack). When you’re done exploring Lower Town, ride the funicular up to Dufferin Terrace to take in the view, then head over to the Au 1884 slide for an adrenaline-pumping toboggan ride.

PM
Later in the day, check out Rue Saint-Jean with its eclectic shops and famous stone gate. Walk through the old city walls and you’ll find yourself at the Place D’Youville ice rink, where you can show off your triple axel!

Evening
Top things off with some delish local fare at Chez Boulay-bistro boréal, then keep the good times rolling with the locals at one of the cozy pubs in the Faubourg Saint-Jean neighbourhood.

Day 2 : Go Play Outside

AM and PM
Hands off that snooze button—you’ve got a jam-packed day ahead of you! We suggest you get things rolling with a quick breakfast at Café-boulangerie Paillard.

Once you’ve had your fill, hop the SKI BUS to Mont-Sainte-Anne where you can take your pick from downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, alpine touring, or dogsledding. You can even give ice canyoning a go at the base of the mountain. If you’re driving, stop by Montmorency Falls Park on the way to le Mont, as the locals call it. And don’t forget your GoPro!

Evening
In a party mood? Check out QC’s legendary après-ski scene. Feel more like chilling out? Unwind at Le Nordique Spa Mont Ste-Anne or at Spa des neiges.

Day 3: Must-Sees and Dos

AM
There’s still so much left to do and see, but trust us—in a foodies’ paradise like Québec City, you don't want to skip brunch.

After that, it’s go time! Did you know that Québec City is home to the only ice hotel in North America? Once you’re done marveling at this stunning ice structure, you can thaw out in one of the 15 outdoor spas and enjoy a cocktail at the ice bar! And if you’re still craving adventure, head over to Valcartier Vacation Village for some high-speed winter fun.

PM
No trip to Québec City is complete without a visit to Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec. Scroll through #mnbaq on Instagram to see what you’re in for. You’ll want to tag every photo you take there as #pictureperfect!

Evening
Looking for an epic way to spend your last night? Then set your sights on QC’s hip Saint-Roch neighbourhood. Grab a bite at one of the many popular local eateries, then check out some of the neighbourhood’s amazing nightlife!
