Ice canoeing is a one-of-a-kind activity you can practise in downtown Québec City! Experience winter on the icy St. Lawrence. No need to be an Olympic athlete to participate, our guides will adapt to your fitness level. You will always be snug, no matter the temperature, as we supply both equipment and advice to help you stay warm. This is one canoe outing you will never forget! As you push and row the canoe across the river, you will have the impression of being on a giant conveyor belt running past a city steeped in over 400 years of history.
Hours: period open varies annually (from 9 to 12 weeks, usually mid-December to early March), depending on the weather. We take reservations for January and February, but cannot guarantee there will be enough ice in December or March. 3-hour outings a day depends on the tide schedule. Each outing follows the same program: meeting with your guides; equipment adjusted; training that involves learning terminology and basic techniques; one hour on the St. Lawrence River.
Minimum duration of a visit: 3 h
