Rules

How to Enter
1. The contest runs from October 1, 2007, at 9:00 a.m. to March 31, 2008, at 11:59 p.m. (ET) (hereinafter the "contest period").
2. This contest is organized by Québec City Tourism (hereinafter the "contest organizers").
3. To enter the
''Winter Your Way'' contest for a chance to win the prize, you must have filled the entry form on the contest organizers’ website during the contest period. Choose the prize you would like to win and click "I WANT THIS" to access the electronic entry form. Fill in all the requested fields, and answer correctly the mathematical skill–testing question. Click "Submit" to submit your entry form no later than March 31, 2008, at 11:59 p.m. (ET). A message will appear on your screen confirming your entry.
Eligibility
4. This contest is open only to Canadian residents who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory at the time of the draw, excluding residents of Québec.
5. This contest is not open to employees, agents, and representatives of the contest organizers, their advertising and promotions agencies, suppliers of goods or services used in connection with this contest, or their immediate families (brothers, sisters, children, fathers, and mothers), legal or common-law spouses, and anyone residing with these employees, agents, and representatives.
6. No purchase is required to enter.
7. Entrants must respect the following entry limitations, failing which they may be disqualified:
- One (1) entry per person per valid email address during the contest period
- One (1) email address per person during the contest period
Draw
8. On April 4, 2008, at 3:00 p.m. (ET) in the Québec City office of the contest organizers, one (1) eligible entry form will be randomly drawn from among all entry forms registered during the contest period.
General conditions
9. To be declared a winner, the selected entrant must
- Be reached by phone by the contest organizers within ten (10) days of the random draw
- Have correctly answered the mathematical skill–testing question appearing on the entry form
- Sign and complete the declaration and release form (hereinafter the "release form") provided by the contest organizers and return it to the contest organizers within ten (10) days of its receipt
10. Should the selected entrant fail to comply with the above conditions or any other condition provided for in these rules, he/she will be disqualified and a new random draw will be held in accordance with these rules until an entrant is selected and declared a winner.
11. Within ten (10) days of receipt of the release form, the contest organizers will send a letter to the winner informing him/her of how to take possession of the prize.
12. The odds of an entry being selected at random depend on the number of entries registered during the contest period.
13. For the purposes of these rules, the entrant is the person whose name appears on the entry form. The prize will be awarded to this person if he/she is selected and declared a winner.

14. The winner will receive one of the following prizes, as per the choice indicated on his/her entry form:
A) Romance Package
- 2 nights’ accommodation at Hotel Loews Le Concorde
- 2 breakfasts
- 1 dinner at L’Astral revolving restaurant
- Half bottle of champagne
- Chocolate-dipped strawberries
- Gratuities
- $2,000 travel credit from VIA Rail Canada
- Two-day car rental
Valid for 2 people, double occupancy, from December 15, 2008, through April 13, 2009, excluding the Christmas holidays and Québec City Winter Carnival. Subject to availability.
Prize value: $2,534 CDN, taxes included.
B) Culture Package
- 2 nights’ accommodation at Hotel Manoir Victoria
- 2 breakfasts
- 1 dinner
- Admission to Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec and Musée de la civilisation
- $2,000 travel credit from VIA Rail Canada
- Two-day car rental
Valid for 2 people, double occupancy, from December 15, 2008, through April 13, 2009, excluding the Christmas holidays and Québec City Winter Carnival. Subject to availability.
Prize value: $2,652 CDN, taxes included.
C) Ski Package
- 2 nights’ accommodation (deluxe room, king bed) at Château Mont Sainte-Anne
- 2 breakfasts
- 2 four-course table d’hôte dinners
- 2 days of skiing at Mont-Sainte-Anne
- A one-hour massage
- High performance equipment rental for 2 days
- $2,000 travel credit from VIA Rail Canada
- Two-day car rental
Valid for 2 people, double occupancy, from December 15, 2008, through April 13, 2009, excluding the Christmas holidays and Québec City Winter Carnival. Subject to availability.
Prize value: $3,351 CDN, taxes included.
15. The following conditions apply to the prize:
- All charges and expenses other than those mentioned above are the responsibility of the winner and/or his/her guest, including travel expenses between the winner’s home and the VIA Rail train station upon departure and return; all taxes, alcoholic and other beverages, and meals and gratuities not included; personal expenses; any required travel documents; gas; rental car insurance; and any damage to the rental vehicle not covered by the insurance.
- Once the reservations are made, no changes will be accepted for the entire duration of the trip, and the name of the guest may not be modified.
- If part of the prize is not used for any reason, no compensation will be awarded to the winner or his/her guest.
- To use the rental car, the winner must be 25 or over, hold a valid driver's license, be insurable, hold a recognized credit card in his/her name, and have never been convicted of a crime associated with using or driving a vehicle or have been pardoned for same. If the winner does not meet these conditions, his/her guest may use this part of the prize if he/she meets these conditions, failing which this part of the prize will be withdrawn without compensation.
- The contest winner and his/her guest must travel together from the same VIA Rail station and must have the same itinerary.
16. Entry forms are subject to verification by the contest organizers. Any entry form which is, as the case may be, incomplete, fraudulent, or submitted late or lacks the correct answer to the mathematical skill–testing question may be rejected and will not entitle the entrant to the prize. Any decision by the contest organizers with respect to any aspect of this contest, including without limitation eligibility and/or disqualification of entries or entrants, will be final and without appeal.
17. The contest organizers reserve the right to disqualify any person or to cancel one or more entries of any person who enters or attempts to enter the contest by any means contrary to these rules or unfair to other entrants (e.g., computer hacking, etc.). Such persons will be disqualified and may be reported to the appropriate legal authorities. Decisions by the contest organizers in this respect are final and without appeal.
18. The prize must be accepted as described in these rules and cannot be transferred to another person, substituted for another prize, or exchanged in whole or in part for cash, subject to the provisions of the following section.
19. If, for reasons not related to the winner, the contest organizers are unable to award the prize as described in these rules, they reserve the right to award a similar prize of equal value or, at their sole discretion, the cash value of the prize indicated in these rules.
20. The selected entrant releases the contest organizers, their advertising and promotions agencies, their employees, agents, and representatives from any damages he/she may suffer as a result of accepting or using his/her prize. To be declared a winner and prior to receiving his/her prize, the selected entrant agrees to sign a release form to this effect. The release form must also be signed before departure by the guest of legal age or the parent or legal guardian of any underage guest who is not the winner's child.
21. The selected entrant acknowledges that upon receipt of a letter from the contest organizers confirming the prize, the execution of services related to the prize will become the sole and exclusive responsibility of each supplier of the elements composing such prize. To be declared winner and prior to receiving his/her prize, the selected entrant agrees to sign a statement to this effect on the release form.
22. The contest organizers, their advertising and promotions agencies, and their employees, agents, and representatives are not liable for faulty computers, computer components, software, or phone lines, for the loss or absence of communication networks, or for faulty, defective, incomplete, incomprehensible, or erased computer or network transmissions that could limit the possibility or prevent any person from entering the contest. The contest organizers, their advertising and promotions agencies, and their employees, agents, and representatives waive all liability for any damages or loss that may be caused directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by the downloading of any Internet page or software, or by the transmission of any information with a view to entering this contest.
23. The contest organizers reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this contest in whole or in part in the event unauthorized human intervention or any other occurrence corrupts or adversely affects the administration, security, impartiality, or normal operation of the contest as specified in these rules. In any case, the contest organizers, their subsidiaries, advertising and promotions agencies, or suppliers of goods or services related to this contest, or their employees, agents, or representatives cannot be required to award more than one prize or award a prize other than in accordance with these rules.
24. By entering this contest, the winner authorizes the contest organizers and their representatives to use, if required, his/her name, photograph, likeness, statement regarding the prize, place of residence, and/or voice for advertising purposes without any compensation whatsoever. The winner agrees to sign a statement to this effect on the release form.
25. No communication or correspondence will be exchanged with entrants except with the person selected for the prize.
26. Anyone entering or attempting to enter this contest absolves the contest organizers, their advertising and promotions agencies, their subsidiaries, and their employees, agents, and representatives of all liability for any damages they may suffer as a result of entering or attempting to enter the contest.
27. The contest organizers collect personal information from you when you enter the contest. All entries received become the property of the contest organizers.
28. Names of officially declared winners will be posted on the contest website.
29. By entering the contest, entrants agree to comply with these contest rules and all decisions made by contest officials, which shall be considered final.
In the event of a discrepancy between the French and English versions of these rules, the French version prevails.
