2008 will be one of the most memorable in Québec City’s history with the celebrations surrounding the 400th anniversary of the founding of the city. In addition to the celebrations organized by Société du 400e anniversaire de Québec and its partners, a number of infrastructure projects have improved the city. They include Promenade Samuel-De Champlain, Pointe-à-Carcy, Bassin Brown, Baie de Beauport, and Fontaine de Tourny, to name just a few.

5/12/20095 QUÉBEC CITY INSTITUTIONS RANKED FIRST IN THE WORLD!Québec City, April 24, 2009 – One of the Québec City Tourism information offices and four museums ranked first among the world’s ten main tourist destinations, according to a study conducted by Paris Île-de-France’s regional tourism committee in the summer of 2008 (between June 30 and July 27). Tourism offices and museums were evaluated in ten large cities: Amsterdam, Berlin, London, Madrid, New York, Paris, Québec City, Rome, Tokyo and Washington.
