Maison Bédard was built during the first half of the nineteenth century. It is located south-east of Charlesbourg's Trait-Carré.The descendants of pioneer families from Charlesbourg: the Lefebvre, the Paradis, the Bédard, have lived in the house in succession. It is an example of what was, in Charlesbourg in the 18th century, the average farmer's dwelling. Restored to its original state in 1988, today, the house is used as a historic interpretation centre and houses the "Société historique de Charlesbourg".
