Located at the site of the first Jesuit mission, which was founded in a bid to convert the nomadic Aboriginal people and encourage them to establish permanent communities, the Maison des Jésuites de Sillery has a permanent exhibition that traces the history of the mission as it pursued its activities throughout most of the 17th century and illustrates the remarkable meeting between two peoples with opposing cultures.
