Plains of Abraham (Battlefields Park)

This park, founded in 1908, was the site of clashes between the French and British armies (1759-1760). Open year-round, the Discovery Pavilion of the Plains of Abraham (835 Wilfrid-Laurier, level 0) hosts the Odyssey multimedia exhibition, a virtual journey from the birth of New France to the park's creation that includes an overview of the battles waged here long ago. Also, bus and snowshoe tours, Martello Towers, outdoor concerts, garden, trial re-enactment, Halloween, cross-country skiing. Reservations required for groups.

    Hours: park, Discovery Pavilion of the Plains of Abraham, Odyssey multimedia exhibition: open year-round. Joan of Arc Garden, inline skating ring: May to October. Abraham's Bus, Martello Tower 1, Edwin-Bélanger Bandstand: summer only. Activities for Halloween: all through October. Winter sports (cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and equipment rental): mid-December to the end of March (depending on weather conditions). Snowshoer's Walk: January to March.

    Closed: Christmas (closed from noon on December 24 until 1 p.m. on December 26) and New Year's Day (closed from noon on December 31 until 1 p.m. on January 2).

      Je suis allée récemment visiter Québec et j'ai été agréablement surprise de découvrir Les plaines d' Abraham ( parc des champs de Bataille ) ?? Mon dieu quel endroit superbe !!! Autant par son accueuil si chaleureux qui a su me toucher le coeur et l'ame de ma fierté Québecoise ,que par la qualitéde la nourriture et les gites si extras par la simplicité .
