In September 2013, Vincent Vallières is releasing his sixth album, Fabriquer l’aube. The man who carries his guitar back to front tells of the beauty and setbacks of daily life in North America, of a life studded with hope. With integrity and humility, he delivers raw emotion through powerful vocals. Fabriquer l’aube teeters between touching folk, country music and pop rock beatnik yet remains incredibly cohesive. Incisive and full of nuance, Vallières hones his art, surpasses himself as he creates a new sound for himself, and still carries that unique signature he’s known for.

With a career that includes 18 Gala de l’ADISQ nominations, Vincent Vallières is without a doubt a prominent figure on the Québécois music scene. His album Le monde tourne fort ? that includes his now classic On va s’aimer encore ? sold over 110,000 copies.

Born August 8 1978 in Sherbrooke, Vincent Vallières has been composing his own materail since the age of 15. In 1996, he was runnerup in the final round of les CÉGEPs en spectacle, and soon recorded his demo album Le vent du nord. Between 1999 and 2009, he cuts five albums Trente arpents, Bordel ambiant, Chacun dans son espace, Le repère tranquille and Le monde tourne fort. A force to be reckoned with, Vallières is now a top artist on the Québecois music scene.

The first part of the concert will be ensured by Andre Papanicolaou.
