Information about the event
Band Les Chemises Carreautées carries on a family’s tradition from one generation to the next, from their great grandfather Arthur Tremblay, grandfather Euloge Tremblay and father Jean-Claude Tremblay down to its sons, Serge and Guy, son-in-law Sylvain Côté and a close friend of the family’s, Isabelle Bouchard.
Les Chemises Carreautées share a passion ? a passion for bringing those good old-fashioned evenings from a bygone era back to life, evenings filled with music. With fast-paced rhythms owed in part to a Canadian diatonic accordion, bits of tales, incredible stories and amusing sing-along songs recount the life and times of their ancestors, local folklore, all spiced with tongue in cheek humour that’s always in good taste.
