Battlefields Park was created in 1908 at the site of clashes between the British and French armies led by Wolfe and Montcalm (1759), and then Murray and Lévis (1760). The Plains of Abraham are recognized as one of the largest and most attractive urban parks in the world, a celebration of recreational activity, culture and history. Several walking trails criss-cross the park, leading to spectacular viewpoints and countless attractions visitors can appreciate year-round.

Abraham's Bus, Martello Tower 1, Edwin-Bélanger Bandstand: summer only. Activities for Halloween: all through October. Winter sports (cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and equipment rental): mid-December to the end of March (depending on weather conditions). Snowshoer's Walk: January to March.
Closed: Christmas (closed from noon on December 24 until 1 p.m. on December 26) and New Year's Day (closed from noon on December 31 until 1 p.m. on January 2).
