Parc linéaire de la rivière Saint-Charles is a wonderful trail from Lac Saint-Charles to the Old Port and an oasis of calm in the heart of the city. Discover a part of this park at your own pace on an 8-km hike from La Maison O'Neill to La Maison Dorion-Coulombe. You'll enjoy learning about the Saint-Charles River, its flora and fauna, its history and urbanization over the years and more, with an audioguide. Take time to listen the 20 fascinating capsules performed by professional actors along the trail.
Hours: Maison Dorion-Coulombe (Saint-Charles River Interpretation Centre): daily, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Free access. Parc de la Pointe-aux-lièvres: (winter season): Monday to Thursday, 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., if weather permitting. Rental service ($): skates, innertube, skate sharpening, and cross-country skiing.
Closed: December 25-26 and January 1-2.
