Public Transit (local buses)
The RTC serves Québec City, Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, Wendake, and Ancienne-Lorette. The Portneuf, Jacques-Cartier, Côte-de-Beaupré, and Île d'Orléans areas are not part of RTC territory.
This shuttle provides practical transportation to downtown activities such as the Image Mill and Les Chemins invisibles™. It runs mainly along Promenade Samuel-De Champlain to link Sainte-Foy and the Beauport terminal. Note that your ticket allows you to get on and off at a number of places along the route.
The Écolobus is an eco-friendly, ultra-quiet electric bus. Its 20-minute route takes it through the Upper Town and the Old Port area and connects to the ferry terminal for a minimal fee. It is wheelchair accessible.
Ferry
The ferry links Québec City and Lévis 7 days a week, 365 days a year. It sails on the hour and half hour during the day and on the hour at night.

Taxi
Québec City area taxis can be identified by the sign on their roofs. There are several companies. We suggest that you call one of them and they will send a car. You can also get a cab at one of the various taxi stands in the city.
Cars
Car rentals can be a practical way to visit areas less than an hour from downtown, such as Île d'Orléans and the Côte-de-Beaupré, Jacques-Cartier, and Portneuf regions.

Québec City's historical Upper Town and Lower Town districts are easy to explore on foot.
Free Shuttles
From May 15 to October 17, 2010, departures 7 days a week from downtown to Laurier Québec shopping center.
Departures from Fairmont Le Château Frontenac and several regional campgrounds to Benjo toy store downtown.
Tourisme Wendake also has a shuttle service departing from Québec City, the borough of Sainte-Foy, and the Old City.
