Commission de la capitale nationale du Québec was created by the National Assembly on June 22, 1995. Its mission is to promote the role of Québec City as a capital and contribute to development that reflects that status. The city's institutions, sites and monuments recall the political history of Québec and therefore the capital should be planned developed and treasured keeping in mind that it is the seat of government. The Commission is involved in improving all facets of the capital such as government institutions, access and public sites.
