Almost 4,000 species of plants grouped by family are cultivated at the Roger-Van den Hende botanical gardens located at Université Laval. Officially open to the public in 1978, the gardens, which cover a 6-hectare area, comprise a unique collection of plant species native to Québec and ornamental plants from Europe, Asia and the Americas. Guided group tours and sociocultural activities.
Hours: May 1 to October 31, daily, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Free admission. English guided tours for groups only upon request (fee).
