Almost 4000 species of plants grouped by family are cultivated at the Roger-Van den Hende botanical gardens located at Université Laval. Officially open to the public in 1978, the gardens, which cover a 6-hectare area, comprise a unique collection of plant species native to Québec and ornamental plants from Europe, Asia and the Americas. Guided group tours and sociocultural activities.
