Birdwatching At Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area
The dank fragrance of humus, a myriad shades of green and great migrating flocks of wild birds characterize Cape Tourmente in the spring. Located east of Québec City in the Côte-de-Beaupré region, this magnificent wildlife reserve stretches along the north shore of the St. Lawrence River. Nature lovers can discover the habitat of many different species of birds and explore the heritage of European settlers dating back 300 years.
Participate in a birdwatching tour led by ornithologists to observe migratory species, including the snow goose, abundant in May. The tour consists of a short hike along the shore of the St. Lawrence River. Binoculars and telescopes are supplied. It is suggested this activity be limited to small groups with a maximum of 15 people.
