The Chemin Du Roy: The King’S Road Leading From Deschambault To Grondines

Enjoy a meal at La Maison Deschambault, a majestic house built in 1790 now transformed into an inn. Standing among the hundred-year-old trees surrounding the house, you can admire the great St. Lawrence River as it flows past. The innkeepers, Hélène and Claude, invite you to stay for a meal, where a variety of delicious dishes made from home grown products will be served.

After this repast, you can learn about the flightless bird family, called ratites, on a guided tour of the Ratites Sans Frontières bird farm. Owner Dominique Bélanger will share her enthusiasm about her breeding farm and tell visitors how she developed a passion for big Australian birds.

Distance from Old Québec: 65 km / 40 miles
