| | The ideal location for major events
Service providers in the Québec City Area are dependable - hotel operators, dining establishments, transportation services, Tourism and Convention Bureau officials and support staff-, all of these persons are eager to help, dedicated to successful venue planning and organization, whatever the size of the event you have in mind. We can accommodate events of world-class standing such as Sommet des Amériques (Summit of the Americas, held in 2001), and Sommet de la Francophonie, which took place here in 1987. The Québec City location is not surprising, for events of this nature, given our long-standing tradition and practice in this regard. Québec City was the setting for the 1944 summit conference between British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, for discussions on military strategy and operations during World War II.
Québec City is not only a travel destination for world leaders, however. During the last four years, over 2000 50-or-more participant events, conventions and meetings were hosted in the city, providing more than 500 000 delegates with first-rate amenities and services in a most charming environment. Not to mention countless business meeting and seminar events of lesser numerical scope.
