ÉCHOtourism STATistics
For the past few years, the Division has assured the follow-up and distribution of various indicators aimed at measuring tourist performance in the Québec City region. These indicators are compiled, analysed and edited on a monthly basis in the ECHOtourism STATistics brochure. This publication went through major changes in 2003 and now includes the following statistics:
- Monthly performance indicators on various regional sectors of activity, such as the hotel industry, tourist attractions, the restaurant industry and shopping.
- Monthly performance indicators on the different geographic sectors of the region.
- The leading monthly statistics on the hotel industry.
- Customer traffic and information services offered at the Tourist Information Centres.
- The Bureau’s monthly Web site traffic.
- A forecast of upcoming conventions and events.
- A short profile of the tourist clientele visiting the region.
