Churches
 Québec City boasts some of the oldest, most beautiful churches in North America. Welcoming the world and its various faiths, our magnificent chapels, churches, and basilicas provide an unequaled atmosphere of solemnity as you commit to a lifetime of love.

It should be noted that certain denominational requirements may have to be fulfilled in order for a marriage to be celebrated in a church. These requirements will be forwarded upon request. Furthermore, a religious marriage in Québec will automatically have civil status unless a civil marriage has already been celebrated elsewhere.
Minister
The minister will help people through all the steps of their life -including wedding- in the respect of their relious and spiritual beliefs.
People that would like to celebrate their union in the Québec City region and who do not have an appointed church can choose a minister with no denomination. Together, they will select the best place for the celebration. These ministers are recognized by the Québec Government and will take care of all the legal aspects, including the registration of the wedding or the(enlever) civil union at the État civil du Québec.

Did you know? In Québec, Notaries can celebrate weddings at the place of your choice (except in the church of most denominations). Other than the city courthouse, you may choose a civil ceremony in a garden, at the water’s edge, in a hot air balloon, or on an unforgettable cruise down the beautiful St. Lawrence River.
