Place D’Youville
A festive, unique and family-oriented opening event will kick
off the 400th anniversary celebrations. At midnight, the sky
will light up with dazzling fireworks and visual effects, and
the whole square will vibrate with sights and sounds. This
unforgettable New Year’s Eve party, set in the magical décor of
a Québec City winter, promises to usher in a brilliantly
colourful year! Make sure to arrive earlier than midnight,
because there will plenty to see!

Interactive
tour
January 5–6, 2008
Old Québec
Along the fortifications, visitors will discover a spellbinding
interactive pathway featuring approximately 100 costumed actors
and extras, and striking special effects.

Musée de la civilisation
A look at the major concerns about the future that urban life is
stirring up. Talks, performances, cinema, and round-table
discussions will complement this exhibition.

A mix of skiing, hockey, and boardercross, this extreme skating
event takes place right in the heart of Old Québec. And when the
competition’s over, Canadian hard rockers Three Days Grace will
